Christmas Lights at Parliament

It's magical and always inspirational. Each year, Parliament does a terrific job of making the buildings and grounds festive and welcoming. It's obvious that those visiting Ottawa during the Christmas season are in for a real treat, but most don't think of what a difference it makes to MPs. The few weeks leading up to the break are amongst the heaviest of the year, with all manner of legislation and committee meetings having to reach certain conclusions. In such a hectic atmosphere, we too walk the halls and journey outside, free to take of the meaning and joy of the season as it's offered by all those who put on such a terrific display.
